The Vermicious Knid
The Vermicious Knid is another great Canadian band that helped to invent the original emo. The good and the real emo. Not this Hawthorne Heights crap, this music isn't about that. But that is another entry all together.
With a multitude of underground influences, The Vermicious Knid crawl into a bunch of genres including math rock, post hardocore slash punk, and indie. Their influences go way back to Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth, back to grunge- where the original emo stemmed from.
Their music will move you by starting off acoustic and then quickly switching time signuatures and tempos and rocking out. I've listened to their entire "Days Stand Still" CD. This is a relatively new CD for these guys, because they go way back- early 90s. This CD came out in 2002, and compared to their early stuff, they've come a long way.
Here are some tunes. Subscribe for the auto downloads via Itunes! Please! It's easy. Here they are right click, save as.
- The Vermicious Knid- No Life Crisis
- The Vermicious Knid- Every Bear's Life Guide
- The Vermicious Knid- Belly Grasp

They're no longer a band anymore however, because they're good. It's always like that.
Peace out.
