Sure, over half the internet is pornography, and then another quarter is illegal business. But there are billions of excellent songs out there too, all for free, all legal for the taking. This is just my little place for it. So let your digital collection of good music grow, and let me be the source.
Jesse is the master of distortion, and gets some sounds to emit from his bass that I didn't even know were possible! Sebastian displays his skills by just singing while drumming... no easy feat!
Death From Above added the 1979 to their name in 2004 as they were releasing their album "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine." The album was headed by the song "Romantic Rights." (This song will be available for download in this post.) "Romantic Rights" has a fuzzy bass riff that sounds almost like machinery. The song is loud and fast, it will blow your brains out for the first 1:45, then it slows down only to build up, more and more until it explodes into absolute . "Rights" will leave you hungry, wanting more of their unique style. Many more of the songs on the album are like this. DFA are becoming somewhat popular. Their videos can rarely be seen on MTV2. Where Death From Above is really getting their recognition from however, is video games and talk shows. Songs from From Above 1979 have been featured on games like *SSX On Tour, and **Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. They have also appeared on Late Night with Conan O' Brien playing "Romantic Rights." Thanks to these, the band is becoming bigger and bigger. I see no reason why these 2 guys can't be the next big thing on the radio.
Closing, I would like to say thank you to NekstBestThing for letting me post on the blog.
Keep coming back to Nekstsong for more music for the musically inclined.
